Hi there! I have bought PMD56-2952 at the middle of 2017. Now it is end of 2021. Time to leave a review. Well, in my case the review is short. There is nothing to say except all is working as supposed to work. Using to cycle a lot, so there are unexpected stresses. There are a couple of minor scratches on the body. Sapphire glass is perfect. Time synchronisation is done with the help of apps with smartphone. Five out of five. Best, Alexey
I love this watch. I owned the green version, but this version is a bit better!
Perfect watch for every day or as a beater. Light (Titanium), tough (DuraTect), solar powered and radio controlled. Outside of Japan you can something like ClockWave on iOS to set / sync the watch to atomic time.
Great service from Shoppinginjapan. Watch arrived in UK within a few days then a few more days to clear customs and delivery to my house. Couldn't be more pleased with the service or the watch. Fits my 6.5 inch wrist nicely and easy to sync the time using the JJY App on my phone.
Wearing on daily basis 2+ years. All is fine.
Very nice watch.
My advice for anyone in France buying this watch is be warned. It's a great watch but I was charged Euros 394 import duty.
My impressions after a day's ownership: fit & finish are supurb. Very legible, although the hour and minute hands are grayer than they appear in pictures. Lume isn't as bright as a Seiko diver, but lasts well enough all night. I'm not sure yet whether I like the domed crystal: possibly makes for too many reflections. The day & date wheel positions can be micro-adjusted, which is very much appreciated. The 3 hands, however, are all on one motor, so are aligned at the factory: they are pretty much true, off just a little, but not noticeable except at noontime. Radio control works well: I don't trust a timepiece to "set itself" (I've had bad experiences), so I consider it a *good* thing that where I live and travel I'm always OUT of range of the Japanese signal! (One can't turn off the daily automatic radio synchronization.) Instead, I can use a JJY emulator on my smart phone when I want to sync the watch, on demand. (Being quartz, this shouldn't be needed often.) Another great selling point is that I can change the UTC offset while traveling without affecting the accuracy of the minute and second hands. That, and the 20 bar water resistance, should make this a great travel watch. Unlike my Seiko solar diver, the day and date change "instantly" at midnight, which has been annoying about the Seiko. It's light and comfortable on my wrist. Just be careful about the pin & collar attachments of the links when sizing: the collars fall out when links are separated and are easy to lose, as they are tiny. But, after sizing, the bracelet has a 3-position slider for microadjustments which seems to function well. However, the bracelet has no half links. In summary: this watch does everything I need it to do, and has a sensible feature set that works well -- if largely "by accident," as I doubt that Citizen considers the inability to sync with non-Japanese towers a "feature." Too bad, as I rather like that aspect of this watch!
Watch arrived on time, exactly as advertised. Very readable. Can't use radio time outside Japan, but accurate anyway. Only problem is that it is a second out due to the leap second last week. I can live with this, but it will need readjustment eventually. Certainly beats any Swiss watch for timekeeping. Reliability unknown as yet, but the sapphire face looks like it won't scratch very easily if at all. The minor drawback of this watch is that you have to read the instructions carefully for changing time-zones while traveling. It is not exactly intuitive, but works well after the first time you try it.
It's nicely finished Citizen, very comfortable to wear (it weights only 40 grams without bracelet). Excellent service and communications.
This watch is superior to the UK version (hideous "Royal Marines" logo). This has day-date with perpetual calendar and Duratect finish. The radio feature is Japan only, but I plan to use simulator/emulator app, and world-time adjustment. Great delivery and comms. Extra £73 for import - not too bad. I would use Shoppinginjapan again.
