What a positive experience I've had with Shopping in Japan (SIJ). From the placement of my order for a Casio Oceanus watch, Sara of SIJ gave me updates on the receipt of my order, shipping and customs clearance status. Excellent customer service coupled with a great watch at a good price point mean my repeat business is assured. Thank you.
Absolutely lovely design and functionality. Best for the price. Worth every cent.
Just a beautiful design, prettier in person than on line. Keeps exceptionally accurate time. Very light weight. Very dressy yet rugged. Water resistant so that it can be worn swimming. Updates to the correct time, daily via the Atomic clock according to experts. Would have thought this would cost $4500 instead of just over 500. No English instructions because it is a Japanese watch and not part of export collection. A hidden jem!
I received the watch in perfect condition and tested all the functions, everything is fine. Great service, delivered on time, will buy from you again in the future.
I am satisfied with the watch, I'll get more satisfaction once my geography is within range of an atomic clock.
For those interested in knowing about the postal/customs process:
The watch was dispatched on 28th August and arrived at my local post office on 7th September. The Norwegian customs was efficient - only a few hours judging from the tracking. Although postal dispatch is not as fast as for example DHL and UPS there are advantages: if one is not available for home delivery (the post office keeps the article for 14 days) and the collection of customs VAT is paid directly to the post office on pickup.
The service provided by Shoppingin Japan:
My contact was Ms. Sara Suzuki (Export Coordinator). I have previously purchased watches from a supplier in the US and one in Singapore and been satisfied. However, I have never before received such high level of personal service provided by Sara who is very courteous and effective in her responses. Next time I order a JDM watch will be from this store.
I have only just collected this solar powered watch. Straight out of the box it functioned immediately and was easily setup - synchronising wth the atomic clock (either the UK or Germany). I am very satisfied with the appearance and the impressive finish (zaratsu). Here are youtube links to evaluations of this model which are the basis of my acquiring it.

Casio Oceanus OCW-S100-1AJF Watch Review Paul Gabriel review
I have had it for about a month now, and been wearing it every day ever since. This is the ideal watch for me: rugged with Ti carbide coating, light (Ti case & braceket), solar-powered, radio-controlled, with perpetual calendar, it takes care of itself.
The size is ideal for smaller wrists, and the blue accents around the indices reminiscent of the blue oceans are subtle and striking at the same time.
The only negative point so far is the fact the the bracelet is integrated. Fortunately both the bracelet and the case are top notch. The finish compares to that seen on Grand Seikos (Zaratsu polishing), I'm not saying it is the same, but it compares.
In summary, if you need a high quality rugged watch for everyday use, packed with advance technology, requiring no care and attention, try it.
Even nicer in real life than in pictures. The case and bracelet is very nicely put together. The finishing is outstanding for the price. I have a lot of watches in the same price range and this is undoubtedly the pretties.
This is a truly great product. The functions are amazing -- solar power, syncs to atomic clock every night, easy time zone switching, perpetual calendar. What's even more amazing is that this is the ONLY model that has put those features into a nicely sized, good looking watch. I'm very, very impressed and this is a great grab and go watch. The titanium case and bracelet are super light.
I'm happy with this purchase. I bought a cheap pin remover from eBay to adjust the strap, which I did easily (do watch out for the tiny metal sleeves that hold the pins in place - they're easily lost when you take the strap apart!) and now it fits perfectly.
I like that it's a simple design aesthetically, but the technology is advanced - solar powered and radio controlled. Very elegant. It looks very well made.
I'm very happy with Shopping In Japan. I purchased the watch on November 26th, and it arrived (UK) on December 8th - a little under two weeks. I was charged VAT by Parcelforce.
Radiocontrolled (tested in Italy works like a charm), solar charged, top style, robust (no scratches or issues with a "normal" use) and high technology materials. It has no rulers for aviators or fancy chronometers, and I LIKE THAT! - Dimensions are perfect or just 1-2 mm less than perfect (matter of taste) - It's thin and light. Really A MASTERPIECE from Casio: congratulations!
I am very satisfied with the watch. The only criticism is of the watch bracelet. I have large wrists and adjusting the band makes it to loose or to tight. Casio should have a 1/2 link so as to added to the bracelet. I think then it would fit OK.
