style
The watch is very good value for its price and is very elegant in its appearance, the service was first class, and watch arrived in Australia in 5 days.

HIGH QUALITY
This watch is a collector time piece in my opinion and the manufacturing is top quality as only SEIKO can do. The strap is not the greatest but I have put a metal bracelet strap on which makes the watch look even better. The service was excellent and the watch arrived in Australia in 5 days. Thank you very much Sara

Great looking
The watch looks great on the wrist, and it feels high quality. As others mentioned the strap is a bit stiff but i expect it to loosen in time. The watch arrived 2 days earlier than the predicted time and customer support was great. Thanks you Sara!

feels high quality and looks high quality
i am quite surprised by the polishing quality of this watch. it feels expensive and high quality. for the price you pay this is great quality. the only downside is the caseback which does not feel high quality enough and the strap is too stiff! but overall, the watch is very presentable and gorgeous looking. the watch arrived earlier than i expected = 4 days is what it took. very satisfied with the merchant!

Even more beautiful in person.
The watch is simply stunning. I really don't have the words to describe it. It's a little piece of art/engineering and I absolutely adore it. Furthermore, the seller is amazing. 5 stars customer service. Sara was always nice and helpful when needed. I will definitely buy from shoppinginjapan again if another JDM seduces me, (which already happened).

A must-have for a watch enthusiast
The Seiko Alpinist is a great looking mechanical watch. The dial color is green with matching gold hour marker. The hands have an elegant shape that fit the dial really well. The watch can be paired with casual or formal outfits; very versatile. The strap needs a bit of breaking in or replaced with your choice of strap style. I replaced the buckle with a Hirsch deployment buckle; giving the watch a more luxurious feel. I am very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend it to people who are thinking about buying it.

Beautiful watch, great shop!
I was really looking forward to write this short review because the watch exceeded my expectations, and mind you, I knew what to expect... The watch is beautiful, poishing is done very, very well. The watch is smaller (38 mm in diameter) which is great for "informal" dress watch role I use it for. Anyway what really blew my mind was the accuracy of the movement. I might be just lucky because my watch is 8 sec fast after 15 days, that's like 0,5 sec a day... I really didn't expect Grand Seiko level of accuracy here. In the meantime I also received my second Seiko, SARG005, which has the same movement and I use it more like a tool watch (it's also little bit larger). It uses the same movement and the accuracy isn't that of the Alpinist, but still very good indeed. I'll post details in it's own review in upcoming weeks.

Great watch, great shop
I got this watch so frickin fast from Japan to the U.S. Midwest it was crazy. Couldn't ask for more responsive or friendlier service, especially from 6,000 miles away. Watch is even cooler than it looks in the picture. The one thing that needs changing is something I expected anyway - I'm a big American boy, and I'm gonna need a bigger band. But that's all good. Great experience, will be shopping here again.

the search for a perfect do-it-all watch stopped
There really is not much to add to this legendary (if i dare say so) watch. If someone told me there actually exists an automatic watch built fully in-house, glorious luminous hands and dials, 200m water resistance, screw down crown, sapphire glass, diashock absorbers, internal rotating bezel, superbly finished with a "face" to die for at 350$, I'd say they are mad. There is, however the SARB 017 and it's absolutely sublime. And that if you are on the market for a gentleman's sports watch you should buy one immediately. With prices going up, at 350$, this really is a no-brainer. I ordered mine and just arrived in perfect condition due to the attention to packaging of the people from shoppinginjapan.net.
