Very nice fast, fast shipping!
Long time Casio user, always loved them. This is my first premium Casio watch, very happy with it, very light and comfortable, can hardly notice it on my wrist. Picture don't do the watch justice, its much more beautiful in person, bluetooth/solar features are great. Also very happy with shoppinginjapan.net, shipping was very fast.

Watch for an acquired taste...
To be honest, the S5000 is not a timepiece for an usual watch geek. That said, if someone is a kind of person who have spent a lot of time with watches and is a bit disappointed with the mechanical side of things or maybe just wants a timepiece that will be very functional and compact at the same time, while also being well built, classy and from a respected manufacturer - all of this without breaking the bank... well it's hard to do better. Not having experience with watches made of titanium before, and given that it's equipped with a bracelet, the lightness was surprising. I have to admit that at first the lightness even portrayed the watch as not being robust, cheaply made, but of course it's not true - it is well built. It's just psychology. Finishing is also on a high level and totally adequate for the price. Eye-grabbing facets, contours and polished elements play nicely with the light and are a treat for those who like interesting watches with a lot of details. It has a fantastic AR coated crystal that is so clear, it sometimes may seem it's not there at all. That of course means great readability with low glare. The watch wears comfortably, bracelet pulls hair only a little bit, but I guess it's because I like to wear mine loose and it moves a lot. Not a problem though - every watch with a bracelet I had was catching hair from time to time. The clasp is nothing fancy, but it's well put together and I like the toolless extension feature - I wish more bracelets had something like this for added slack when the wrist expands. Thin profile helps the shirt cuffs slide over the watch without an issue. I also like the Bluetooth feature, ease of use and functionality of the app. So far I'm very pleased with the timepiece.

Very light, very comfortable
Initial impression of the watch is that it's very very light. At first its lack of heft was not very good because I'm used to steel watches. But after a few days, it was apparent the use of titanium makes the watch very comfortable. Because it's so light, it moves around less around my wrist. As far as look, it's a pretty looking watch, but it's not really super distinctive. Between my Edifice chronograph and this Oceanus, there isn't an immediate sign that one cost significantly more than the other. But price aside, it is a beautiful watch. It is very thin, so you should keep that in mind. The band is also very nice. The buttons are typical feel of a digital watch, so don't expect the crisp action of a mechanical. The watch has 2 mode, a GMT mode and a timer mode. I kept it in chronograph mode, but it's up to you. It took me about a week of sunny weather wear before the battery become fully charge. Overall this is a good watch for something you can wear everyday and can also be a bit dressy.
